Our Green Teas are made from freshly plucked
leaves and are first steamed, then rolled. A
gentle heating or firing afterwards allow the
leaves to dry, preserving their fresh "green"
characteristics. Green teas offer an incredible
range of different flavor notes such as toasty,
bright, sweet, floral and smooth. Green teas are
the richest of teas in anti-oxidants, and are
considered to be among the "superfoods" that
have the highest levels of anti-oxidants known
to man. Studies show that green tea has 20 times
more anti-oxidants than vitamins C and E. Enjoy

Our Black Teas are made from freshly harvested
leaves that are spread out on racks and dried.
After 18-24 hours, the withered leaves are
rolled and twisted, breaking apart the cellular
structure of the leaf. Once exposed to air, the
leaves oxidize, causing them to turn black. At
the desired level of oxidation, the leaves are
then fired or hot air dried. We choose our black
teas for their rich characteristics and full
flavors. These teas can be malty, rich, sweet,
bright, brisk, smooth, full, aged, fruity, and
complex, depending on their origin, and how they
are harvested and prepared. Studies show black
teas are rich in anti-oxidants and provide other
healthy benefits.
